I used the new Papertrey Ink's Boy Basics: Out of This World Stamp set and die. The front panel of the card was made using a dark blue patterned paper from a Provocraft Bitty Scrap Pad. (it contains a whole range of colours and patterns). This paper was embossed with a Swiss Dots folder to add a little texture. Platinum coloured Stickles were added to many of the dots near the top of the paper and then some random spots in the middle and near the bottom.
A strip of yellow paper was stamped with the sentiment using red and blue inks. Red faux stitching outlines the strip of paper.
The rocket and flame from the Boy Basics: Out of This World were stamped on Papertrey Ink's Stamper's Select White card stock and then coloured with copic markers. The rocket was die cut with the matching die and then pop dots were used to give it some dimension. The flame was 'fussy cut' and glued to the front of the card panel. All of the stars and the moon were die cut with the matching die and a few of the tiniest stars were punched with an EK Success star punch.
I added a few more details to the inside of the card with a blue paper strip, a sentiment from Fillable Frames #1 and some little stars cut from the PTI die and the star punch from EK Success. Since my nephew lives out of town, I usually send a $ gift along with a small toy or book. I used the Library Pocket Die from PTI on one side of the card with some more of the yellow paper. The Friendship Jar set has a little label stamp and the 'just for you' sentiment that worked really well for this little '$ pouch'.
Thanks for visiting!

Absolutely adorable!!!! Love the little GC pocket on the inside and the Swiss Dot embossing is an awesome idea for the stars!
Out of this world, Karen! Using the Swiss Dot embossing folder was a stroke of genius since it mimics STARS so well! Gorgeous colors together, and just so perfect for a two-year-old! (Great inside too!)
Swiss dots as stars = Genius !! Love the effect, and the card is so fun and colourful ! Perfect for a 2 year old !
I love this card, so perfect for a little boy! All the little details really make it!
Oh Karen, what a perfect little boy's card! I love it! I have yet to pull out my stamps & die for this set!
I had like 20 embossing folders and got rid of all but 1-2 and the swiss dots one I had to keep...it's so fun!...as is this card. Bright primary colors just perfect for a little boy.
Oh, how fun is this?! I love that the swiss dots look like stars!
