Isn't it Spring yet?
I need spring to be be here, so I made a pastel card this week-end. We've had so much snow, but I'm hoping my positive chanting will eventually come true!! - There's no snow, it's warm outside, there's no snow, it's warm outside.
Nope - it's not working yet - there's still lots of snow!!
Maybe this card will speed up the melting and bring on some sunnier days. The Wee Memories Challenge WMC47: "Spring is Near, Green is here!" has inspired me to "think spring".

I bought this stamp last week at my LSS (All the stamps were are on sale!!)
Even though I'm not a "cat person" I couldn't resist Mavis with a DAISY from Stamping Bella. I stamped the image on PTI Stamper's Select White card stock so that I could colour her with my copic markers.
I "fussy cut" the image as I wasn't sure how I was going to position it on the card.| I had already created the floral embossed image on white card stock, so I was able to 'fiddle' with Mavis and the sentiment until I found a happy compromise. She looks as though she's standing in a field of daisies!!
The embossed images were coloured using some water colour pencils. I think next time I'm going to try my copics to see if it will give better coverage.
The sentiment is from PTI's Wreath for All Seasons. I like the separate words and fonts, as it allows many options for placing the sentiment. Finally I added a few little yellow pearls to finish off the card. The peachy coloured matting was a piece from my scrap box, and the card base is Stampin'Up's Certainly Celery.
This sentiment, from PTI Vintage Picnic Sentiments, was the perfect wording for this card. I've had this little flower punch for a long time and since it matched Mavis's daisy I used it to accent the inside of the card.

This is a very cute card Karen, thanks so much for joining us at Wee Memories this week.
Cute card. I like the softness of the watercolor pencils on the embossed parts. Oh -- I don't know how I would handle still having snow on the ground. It's definitely Spring here! Thanks for your visit to my blog -- and the interesting notes about Eric Staal and RBC... connections are everywhere, aren't they. (Happy PTI release night! :) )
love the color on the embossing!
Very cute and that stamp is adorable.

Oh how cute is she?! And I love the spring colors and design of your card. The colored embossing looks cool.
I *am* a cat person, but I am not really a "cute" image person . . . until I saw Mavis that is! She has been waiting on my wish list for the next time I make a Stamping Bella order! It was a sweet surprise to see her here on your card! :-)
Oops! I forgot to say that I really like how you placed the sentiment!
That colorful embossing is very clever... soft and yet eye-catching. :)
yea for spring :-)
LOVE this card... it is super cute!
Super cute image. Really love the way she does look as if she's standing in a field of daisies! Your layout looks amazing too.
What a cutie-patootie! Love the inside too!
