I haven't participated in a Blog Hop for a few months.
When I saw this month's photo, colour recipes and
sketch ideas here, I was inspired to make this card:
Autumn Rose and Ripe Avocado were used for the leaves and flowers;
Smokey Shadow/Silver embossing were used for the flower pot.
I used this sketch: a full width sentiment strip
and a pot of flowers (in place of the buttons).
Rustic White card front (4" x 5 1/4") was stamped with a
leaf image (Ripe Avocado) and flower image (Autumn Rose) from
Garden Variety. Stitching Impression Plate adds some texture to the front.
The sentiment strip was cut with the Double-ended Banner die and
stamped with a sentiment (Garden Variety) and Autumn Rose ink.
A thin strip of Autumn Rose card stock was punched with a
dotted scallop punch and then positioned under the banner strip.
dotted scallop punch and then positioned under the banner strip.
The pot (Garden Variety II) was stamped with Smokey Shadow ink and
heat embossed with silver embossing powder. (The Smokey Shadow ink
remained wet enough to hold the embossing powder; no Versamark ink needed).
The finished pot was added to the banner and accented
with pearls that I coloured with copic markers.
Enjoy the rest of the Blog Hop!!
