Papertrey Ink April 2012 Blog Hop Challenge

It`s time for another Papertrey Ink Blog Hop. This month`s inspiration
picture has lots of colourful fabrics in blues, pinks and  a little bit of green.

The fabrics that really inspired my card were the white
and blue ticking, the pink floral print and the pink polka dot.

1. Distressed Stripes were stamped in Bashful Blue (SU) onto PTI Rustic White card stock. The edges of the paper were sponged with the same blue ink. A row of blue stitching was done around the edge of the front panel.
2. The focal panel was cut with the Button Card die and then stamped with the frame from Button Boutique. The heading (Button Boutique) and the sentiment (Pretty Peonies) were stamped with Smoky Shadow ink.

3. Text Style was stamped over the button card with Fine Linen ink.
4. The button card was mounted onto a medium blue paper.
5. The leaves from Pretty Peonies were stamped with Spring Moss ink.

6. The solid flower image from Pretty Peonies was stamped with Raspberry
Fizz and Pure Poppy, hand cut and then added to the button card with
foam dimensionals.
7. Polka Dot Basics was stamped with Raspberry Fizz onto a small piece
of Rustic White card stock.  The corners were rounded and the edges
were sponged with pink ink.
8.  A piece of thin pink ribbon was added to the card front before
attaching the two focal panels. A bow was added to the card front.
9. Three pink pearls were placed on the top right hand corner.
10. The front panel was mounted onto a Rustic White card base.

Card Interior
1. Two sentiments from Pretty Peonies were stamped with Raspberry Fizz.

2. The small floral outline image was stamped onto Bella White card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black, coloured  with copic markers and then hand cut. It was then glued into position to accent the inside of the card.

Thanks for visiting today. Enjoy the rest of the blog hop!!

This is a beautiful card--inside and out. I love how you replicated that blue striped fabric exactly--and so much care was taken with all the details. Great idea to use the button card die, too.

Oh, Karen! I love that we both focused on the blue stripes and used the same stamp set but ended up with very different cards. The big, bright dots look great in contrast to the stripes and the repetition by way of the pearls is perfect!
Thanks so much for your encouraging comment. I admire your work and appreciate your input. :)
