My grand neice celebrated her first birthday this spring and I wanted
to make her a fun and colourful card. C.C. Designs Itzie Inkie Flower Power
has several images with daisies and little monkeys and this one was the
perfect choice for Parker.
The image was stamped onto Bella White paper and coloured with copic
markers and then hand cut. It was attached to a white circle of PTI
Stamper's Select White that had been stamped with the happy birthday
sentiment from Tag-Its #1 in Fine Linen ink.
The striped paper is one side of a paper from Fancy Pants. I used the darker red side to cut the frame for the focal image (2.5" Limitless Layers Circles), the mat behind the striped paper and the lettering (Block Alphabet-Lower Case). The frame and letters were actually cut several times and then glued together to create thicker elements. Fine Linen card stock was used for the card base. Three Bella Dots were added to the top left corner.
I wanted to add a bit more dimension to the main image so I re-stamped
the daisy, coloured it with copics and then glued only the yellow section of the flower center. This allowed me to curl up the white petal portion of the flower. The flower center was highlighted with some little dots using a clear Sakura Gelly Roll pen to add a little sparkle!
The inside of the card was stamped with some sentiments from Movers and Shakers Sentiments and the single daisy image from the Flower Power set was added. It was cut with an oval die and mounted onto a Big Scallop Oval mat.
