Another Golfing Birthday

 We have lots of July birthdays and I seem to have little time or creative mojo this summer to make cards!!  We've been spending a lot of time outside over the last few weeks. With our short summers, we really need to take advantage of every ray of sunshine.

Here's a birthday card using Kraftin' Kimmie's Raymond the Golfer. I  used this same stamp for this  Father's Day card, but chose a different layout and colour scheme. The card base and matting was made with a bright blue card stock that complements the patterned paper.  Little mini golf balls on the paper were the inspiration for the colours (red, yellow, green & blue) used on the main image.

The grass stamp from PTI's Garden Variety was added to the bottom of the image. The grass needed a bit of colour, so I used the smallest single dot from Polka Dot Basics and added spots in Cranberry and Sunny Yellow. 
It's fun to add little unexpected details to a card - isn't that little bird on Raymond's elbow the cutest fellow?!! (from PTI's Grunge Me.)
The sentiment, from Close to My Heart, was stamped on the side of the focal image. Finally a red button (from my stash) was tied with PTI Pure Poppy Baker's Twine.

I always like to finish the inside of the card. Here I stamped more of the grass images on the bottom of the white card stock. The same bird from Grunge Me was placed at the bottom corner. The sentiment, the golf ball and tee images were stamped from Clear Dollar Stamps: Golf Set.
