Little Bitty Birds Anniversary

I was inspired by this card (Audrey Tokach)
using Little Bitty Birds and Additions,  to create an
anniversary card for my brother and sister-in-law.
I masked a border on a white card base in order
to sponge a rectangle of blue sky and green grass.
I die cut the fence from the Additions set from
white card stock, then coloured it with copic markers.
Grass and flowers were added with stamps from Garden Variety.
The birds and bird bath were die cut, stamped
and coloured with copic markers.
Up, Up & Away and Heart-2-Heart #6 dies were used to cut
several clouds that were layered together to create dimension.
These were outlined with a grey copic marker for shading.
The sentiment was stamped with Pure Poppy ink.
A small red heart was die cut (Flipping Out)
and added to the card front.

Up, Up & Away Rainbow Birthday

What colours do you usually choose for masculine cards?
I usually think of blues, greens or brown, but for
today's card I used a cheery rainbow colour scheme.

I had a piece of white card stock sitting on my desk that
I had started stamping with yellow polka dots and used it
as my background for stenciling.
I needed to make a birthday card for my brother,
and decided to start with an blue ombre look using
one of the Modern Background stencils.

I cut the card front with Lawn Fawn's Stitched Rectangle and
then sponged the edges with blue ink, before mounting it onto
a card front with Blueberry Sky Gingham patterned paper.

I've always loved the hot air balloons from Up, Up & Away,
so I die cut, stamped and coloured the three balloons
using a rainbow colour scheme.
I added two clouds to the design, layering
one over and one under the balloons.

Sentiment Details
I hadn't planned how to incorporate a sentiment but
knew I needed to fill in some space across the
bottom portion of the card.
A piece of white card stock was cut with one of the
Photo Finishers die and then I heavily sponged
Blueberry Sky ink along the edges to create a solid border.
Happy Birthday (Get Lost) was stamped with Pure Poppy ink.
I created a small circle panel by stamping a
rainbow of colours onto white card stock
and then cutting it with Inverted Scallop (Nestabilities).
Circle punches were used to cut a blue and white circle
to add onto the colourful background panel.
A sentiment from Tiny Tags II was the perfect finishing touch.

Masculine Scene It: Celebrations

I really like the various stamps and dies that allow you
to create detailed card designs with lots of colourful variations.
I used pink, yellow, blue and green along with
Scene It: Celebrations for this birthday card.

Today's card uses a  masculine colour scheme of
Tropical Teal, Aqua Mist, Canyon Clay,
Harvest Gold and Bright Buttercup for a different look!!

Stampin'Up Natural card stock was embossed with
Cuttlebug's Dots & Spots Embossing Folder,
Aqua Mist ink was sponged over the raised portions.
Tropical Teal card stock was used to create a large
front panel and a mat for the stamped gingham strip.
The Scalloped Circle from Tinsel & Tags
was also cut from Tropical Teal as a
background mat for the main focal panel.
I added a few sequins (copper, teal and gold) to finish the front.

Tulip Time: Oh Happy Day

When I first got Tulip Time, I stamped and die cut
a stack of flowers so that I would have them ready
to make a variety of cards. My first card here, used the
tulip trio along with some single flowers to create a bouquet.
For this card, I used 5 single flowers and arranged them
in a mason jar vase. The background was created by
sponging aqua, pink and yellow inks and then adding
'sprinkles' (Tinsel & Tags) with gold embossing powder.
The front panel was cut with Lawn Fawn's Stitched Rectangle
die and mounted onto an aqua card base.

Friendship Jar was stamped with a light grey ink
and then stamped with aqua and green inks using
Crackled Mini stamp. The jar was fussy cut, a gold string
was tied around the jar and a Tiny Tag was stamped
with the polka dot frame and sentiment (Mini Blooms)
and added to the jar. This was mounted over the
floral arrangement using foam dimensional tape.
Three brass adhesive dots were attached at
the bottom of the card front.

What the Doodle: Butterfly

What the Doodle: Butterfly is such a fun set!! It really allows you to play with different colour combinations and it is a great size for a focal image on a card.

I started by stamping a white card front with Hibiscus Burst ink using Watercolour Wonder to create bold horizontal stripes. This was cut with a Stitched Rectangle die and adhered to a Hisbiscus Burst card base.
"Enjoy" was stamped with Winter Wisteria ink and the rest of the sentiment was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with White Detail Embossing powder.

Butterfly Detail

A solid butterfly was die cut from white card stock and attached to the card front. A second butterfly was cut with the detailed die, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then coloured with copic markers. I glued it to the first die cut along the body and curled the wings to create added dimension.
Yellow and purple Adhesive Sparkles (Close To My Heart) are the finishing touch!!

Fresh Flowers Just For You

Sweet Spring is one of my favourite stamp sets.
I love the little butterflies and dotted trail lines and often use them in scenes, like a recent card I made here. There are also several cute floral groupings that can be used in so many ways.
This card would suit a variety of different occasions ..... birthday, thank-you or a note card. The card base was stamped with Off Beat Backgrounds (Waltzingmouse Stamps) using Fine Linen ink, to create a plaid design and then impressed with the Canvas Impression Plate.

The flowers and butterfly were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with copic markers. I  also added the grass using copic markers. A stencil brush was used to dab blue ink across the top of the white card stock.
The sentiment (Petite Places: Main Street) was the perfect size for the top corner. It was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.
Lawn Fawn's Stitched Rectangles were used to cut the main focal panel and a Fine Linen mat. The edges of the Finen Linen mat and the card base were sponged with Fine Linen ink.
A Berry Sorbet banner peeks out from the side of the floral panel. A little green flower brad was added to the banner.

Sending Hugs

I have had this Stampavie: Ruffles Get Well  for several years and have only used it once, so when one of my grand nieces broke her arm on the school playground, I knew it was the perfect image for a her card!!
The image was stamped with Memento Black ink and coloured with copic markers. The image was fussy cut so that it could be attached to a 2 1/2" Limitless Layer die. Hibiscus Burst card stock was cut with the scalloped circle die from Tinsel and Tags Kit to create a mat for the focal image.
The white card front was stamped with Hibiscus Burst and New Leaf inks using Polka Dot Basics. Hibiscus Burst was used as the card base.

Scripty Hugs die (Lawn Fawn) was cut multiple times
and stacked to create dimension.
I cut a curved banner and then stamped it with
"SENDING YOU" (Swoosh)
attached it to the card front and added "hugs" on top!!

I finished the inside of the card with a small circle panel.
Inside:

Tulip Time Birthday

Even though I have the Friendship Jar Tulips stamps, I couldn't resist the new Tulip Time set and dies that were released early this year. I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to create when I first got the set, so I die cut and stamped a batch of flowers with pinks and yellows (colours listed below) so that I could make a few cards. I needed a birthday card for my niece's 40th birthday, so this card went together quickly with the pre-made flowers.

I created the background by stenciling
yellow and pink inks with one of the Modern Stencils.
I positioned the tulips and then added the sentiment
with Grey Wool ink (Close To My Heart) and then
heat embossed it. A few clear adhesive dots finish the card.

The inside of the card features another stamped die cut tulip
and a sentiment from Delightful Dahlias: Additions
