Greeting Card Kids: Christmas

After seeing some of the new holiday stamps being released by Papertry Ink in September, I was inspired to start making some of my Christmas cards.
I still have several sets from Stampin'Up and PTI that need to see some ink .... so..... I thought I would pull out the stamps that I haven't used and make a set of  8 cards that I can add to my "Christmas" box. I usually make a 'batch' of cards using the same design, rather than many individual cards.

I started by stamping this cute image from Greeting Card Kids (SU), onto Bella white card stock so I could colour it with copic markers.

I also used some liquid applique on the scarf, jacket trim details and the snow across the bottom of the image. Icicle Stickles were added to the focal panel to give the illusion of snow and yellow and red Stickles on the tree lights .........

..... and then I added a few snowflakes punched out of a border punch.
A red and white striped bow was attached to the top of the tag.

The card stock was cut into a 1 3/4" circle so it fits nicely into the PTI Tag Sale #4, cut from a bright green card stock. I used the same card stock for the card base and the sentiment panel.   The designer paper, from Doodlebug is appropriately called "Holly Jolly" and was my inspiration for the overall colour scheme.

The sentiment panel was created by stamping the Label Basics angled die cut with its' matching stamp. I then trimmed the stamped image so that only the single thin line was visible. This allowed me to mount the sentiment onto another angled die cut used as a mat.  The sentiment is from AmyR: Winter Greetings and seemed to be the perfect choice for the main image.

The inside of the card uses another sentiment from Winter Greetings
and a leaf and berry image from PTI's Believe

Super cute. Love how you added the tag to the card. That tag makes a great ornament too.

WoW! A beautiful set of cards. Love all the various elements you used. The coloring of these cards is intensive, but you did an outstanding job.
