Surfer Birthday

My youngest son lives on the East Coast of Canada - an ideal location for his passion - surfing.   So... a ''Surfer" card was the right choice for his upcoming birthday at the end of September.  I've made other cards for him with the 'surfing' theme, but I decided to keep this one fairly simple, with lots of stamping and just a few embellishments.

Grunge Me from Papertrey Ink has lots of great images for masculine cards.
I used the two "splotches"  and various ink colours to stamp a strip of images across the middle of the aqua card stock (Pool Party from Stampin'Up).  I then used my Scor-Pal to score two lines above and below the stamped section.
The Happy Birthday sentiment, from Boy Basics: Rock On was stamped with Versamark and embossed with black embossing powder.
The surf board, from SU's Just Surfing was embossed with Martha Stewart's Lady Bug embossing powder and then hand cut. It was attached to the card front with foam dimensionals.  Three Stamping Bells Dots add a splash of red on the top corner of the card front.
The main card base is PTI's Pure Poppy, so I added another Pool Party card stock panel to the inside of the card and stamped it with the circular images and the small splotchy image from Grunge Me. The sentiment, from Mega Mixed Messages, was stamped with black ink.
