Red Harvest Berries Birthday

I love the new stamp and die set from Papertrey Ink called Harvest Berries. It's so elegant and makes such a statement on a card. I need several birthday cards for October and November, and this will be perfect for some of of my relatives.

The main card base was made from PTI's Stamper Select White card stock and stamped with Text Style using  Colorbox Wild Hare ( a very soft gray) and then embossed with the Cane Print Impression Plate. More of the soft gray ink was sponged around the edges of the card stock.

The main images from the Harvest Berries set were stamped with Close to My Heart Cranberry ink onto the corresponding die cuts. I then used several different copic markers (R59; R89; R46) to colour the centers of the leaves to give some dimension. Lisa Johnson's use of copic markers on this card inspired me to try this colouring technique. Some glitter was added to each leaf with a Sakura clear glittter pen. The little black berries were die cut (from card stock) and then glued to the card front.

One of the angled dies and frames from Label Basics was used for the sentiment panel.  HAPPY (Big Birthday Wishes) and BIRTHDAY (Wreath for All Seasons) were stamped in black ink. A cranberry button and black baker's twine were added to this panel.

The inside of the card uses a sentiment from Daydreamer and another image from Harvest Berries.  I really like how this card turned out and I'm going to try making it again with some other colour schemes.

Gorgeous! I love this color scheme. Very Asian inspired feel to me. The textured white layer really adds such yummy texture too. Very sophisticated...as always.

Beautiful card. I love how you used the text stamp as a background along with the cane IP. Bought this set with die but have yet had time touse it. Just love it though!

I love it when a set doesn't speak to me and then I see something marvelous made with it. Love the embossing on the base of this one, adds so much...

Love your card Karen! I especially love how you stamped the background with text-it and then impressed it with the cane impression plate. I love that plate - reminds me of a quilt pattern. Beautiful!
