Flower Fusion #1 & #2

I have been "collecting" the Flower Fusion series of mini stamp sets and dies from Papertrey Ink, but need to use them more often. So ... I decided to start making a set of little note cards using a similar layout and materials and a variety of the images and sentiments.  Here's the first two in the series!!

These 4" x 4" note cards share a number of the same
features, which made it a little easier to complete them.

Card bases were cut from a 12" x 12" sheet of ColorMates Dark Spring Green card stock. This allows me to cut 4 cards from one sheet!! Yeah!!
The front  and inside panels used Stampin'Up Vintage Cream card stock cut with
Nestabilities Label #1 and then stamped with a frame from PTI's Vintage Labels
in Close to My Heart Garden Green ink.
The butterfly (from Butterfly Dreams) was stamped on Bella card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with copic markers, fussy cut, and then glued to the main panel.

FLOWER FUSION #1

The card base was embossed with Cuttlebug's Dots and Spots folder.
Flower Fusion #1 images were stamped with CTMH Garden Green
& Hollyhock inks and the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black.
The yellow card stock button was created with the
Buttoned Up #2 die and then tied with a thin cream ribbon.

The inside of the card features the grass image from
Daydreamer and the small flower stamp from Flower Fusion #2.

FLOWER FUSION #2

The card base was embossed with PTI's Vineyard Impression Plate.
After preparing the focal panel with the frame I added a background
with Text Style using CTMH Bamboo in order to create more dimension.
The stem/leaf image from Flower Fusion #2 was stamped with CTMH Garden Green. The flower head was created with Raspberry Fizz felt and the Flower Fusion #2 die. The center of the flower was cut with the Buttoned Up #2 die in Harvest Gold felt  and then tied with a thin cream ribbon.
The sentiment (from Sending You) was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black.

The grass/flower images from Garden Variety were stamped on the inside panel.

I didn't stamp a sentiment on the inside panels - I can add a hand written note or a stamped sentiment when I decide on the recipient of the card.

Now ... it's time to try my hand at Flower Fusion #3 and #4.  I pre-cut all of my card bases and front and inside panels for 12 cards, so that I can keep adding to my little stack of notecards using this cute series of stamps and dies.

Thanks for visiting.

Cute cards, Karen. I love your set idea. I don't have all the FF sets but you have given me a great idea. Also, I should do something similar with my Year of the Flower collection set.

What a fab idea to do little notecards. These look great and I love the way you finished the inside too. Have to confess I'm usually too lazy to do that!

Oh my gosh! These are so sweet. Such good compositions. So appealing to the eye, the shapes and size are delightful. So creative. I really must christen my button up dies. Hmm but first to find them. Hehee.
