Bob the Builder Projects

I have been very busy in my sewing room over the last few weeks. I have finally been able to work on a pile of fabric projects, but it does take more time than any of my paper crafting cards!!

I showed a birthday card here that I made for my little grand nephew's birthday. We're going to his 1st birthday party this week-end, so I've been finishing up his birthday present and wanted to share some pictures of the final projects.

I purchased this panel from my fabric store when it went on sale for $5.
I snapped up a couple of panels, in order to make little fabric books.

Here's the little book I sewed for Nathan.
And a "peek" inside!!

The fabric panel also had an image of Bob the Builder that could be used for applique, so I made a big boy bib. The base of the bib is a bright blue flannelette. I added machine embroidery around the appliqued image and the outer edge of the bib.

Here's the final grouping:   Bob the Builder Book and Bib
along with the colourful dump truck that I picked up at the toy store.

An Oshkosh store  recently opened in our city so I had to take a look.
I found an outfit with camouflage pants and top for the birthday boy, so I'll be adding those to the birthday bag!!
Nathan will be all set to play in style!!  It's going to be a fun birthday!!

My son loves Bob the Builder, so I better not let him see this post. How clever to make a book!
