Wishing You a Wild & Crazy Day

Happy Saturday!!

I've been trying to get time in my craft room all week in order to CASE
this card that Nichole Heady made for the June Papertrey Ink stamp release.
I knew that I was going to order the Mehndi Medallion set, but I HAD to
add the sweet It's a Jungle Out There  set and die once I saw her card.
A few weeks ago Nichole also posted a Make it Monday video showcasing
the technique used to create the framed image. (Polaroid 2-Step Masking).

Off to my craft room I went, determined to make a similar card.
My first attempt just didn't seem quite right, so after checking Nichole's
post, I made a second card that actually did look like the original.
Note to self:
When you want to CASE a card, it might be a good idea to review the post before starting !!

Here's my first attempt, with a green ribbon and little black rhinestone accents. I mounted the stamped medallion panel onto a black card base.
(I realized after watching the video again, that Nichole used a ribbon accent and a black card base for the video example. I guess I must have been thinking of that when I created this.)

Here's my second attempt. I stamped the Medallion images directly onto the Kraft card base before adding the zebra framed panel. Just like Nichole's!!

I added the sentiment, from It's a Jungle Out There. I think it will be a fun anniversary card for my brother and sister-in-law;  they are a very adventurous duo!! I can use the second one for a birthday card by adding an appropriate sentiment on the inside.

Now I can't decide which one I like the most!! What do you think?

Card Details:
Stamps: PTI Mehndi Medallion, It's a Jungle Out There' Turning a New Leaf.
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black; PTI  Fresh Snow; Close to My Heart: Clover Meadow
Papers: PTI Kraft, True Black
Other Supplies: green ribbon; black rhinestone pearls; foam dimensionals

Thanks for visiting.

Wow Karen, these are great! I laughed at your attempt to CASE and forgetting to actually look at the card...very familiar! LOL
I like the placement of the medallions better on the second one, but I like the black base and green ribbon of the first.

I know... when I CASE I have to have the computer right there to check as I go! I agree with Dana - I like your medallions on the 2nd card better, but I love that ribbon on the first one. I think i prefer the kraft card base.

Wow I think both cards are fantastic! I love how you used the medallion stamp set for your background and the zebras and pop of green on your first card looks wonderful!

Would that be a CASE in spirit then? Hehee. Love your card and the composition is very cool. There is something very special about the coloring or tone rather of this lovely card that is particularly appealing. Can't put my finger on it exactly but it sure is a stunner! Something about that animal magnetism I guess. ;-)
